Odigo can show you who is visiting the same web page and
website that you are on, and how many people are on various other
websites, at any moment.
The
Ability to Initiate Communication
You can initiate a conversation with any of these users
by simply clicking on his or her icon (in the radar screen) to open
up a communication window. Users then have the option to exchange
voice messages as well as text-based chat and instant messaging.
Chat
Room on Every Site
In addition to facilitating one-on-one communication,
Odigo allows a group of users who happen to be on a certain site
to initiate a chat room discussion. While most people agree that
general chat rooms can be quite dubious (an unfortunate negative
effect of the anonymity they allow), they can also be a very powerful
resource in the right environment.
Voice
Chat
In addition to text-based chat and instant messaging,
Odigo gives users the option to exchange voice messages as well.
A voice chat is simply like a phone call or a conference call if
several users are participating. This is truly a remarkable application
and we recommend everyone goes out an buys the $15 microphone that
will allow you to use it.
Total
Control over your Visibility
Odigo allows you to control your visibility and accessibility.
You can be visible to everyone or no one. You can allow only members
of your Friends List to see you or alter your visibility based on
what web sites you are visiting. If you find someone annoying, and
you just don't want him or her bothering you any further, you can
add that person to your Ignore List.
Note
Posting
You can leave a comment about a certain page or about
anything that subsequent users will be able to see and respond to
you with a communication if they wish. After you log off of Odigo,
the note will disappear.
Community
Identifying Flag
Several sites offer co-branded Odigo applications for
their like-minded community members and all users who download Odigo
from one of these sites see all other community members with a tell-tale
flag icon in the "radar screen". For this reason, I recommend all
