Situated across the street from the beach in this one street town and backpackers haven, Beaches represents a model for the future of backpacker hostels. The hostel's rooms hall all the amenities and are quiet even when the Beaches bar, the hotspot in Airlie Beach, is in full swing. The bar serves really good and inexpensive food and it serves as a tremendously conducive social gathering at every meal.

Airlie Beach is a small, but lively, town that serves as the springboard for sailing and scuba diving adventures into the serene Whitsunday Islands. When you're not partaking in the various day trip activities, the hostel has two pools to keep you entertained.

Plan to spend a little time in Airlie Beach and take advantage of the many excursions.
