Every backpacker trekking through Europe has to make a stop in Amsterdam. The mystic of the infamous hash bars and the red light district have made seeing Amsterdam first hand a prerequisite for any one who wants to call themselves a world traveler. It's definitely worth the trip and don't be surprised when you go there and find out that there is much more to Amsterdam than legal drugs and liberal prostitution laws. The city is remarkably scenic given the labyrinth of canals and the fact that everyone in the city seems to ride a bicycle.

On target with the stereotypical image of Amsterdam, the Flying Pig has a communal like drug den atmosphere. If your thing is hanging out comatose sitting Indian style on the floor in a cloud of pot smoke, which surprisingly is for a number of people, then the Flying Pig is your nirvana.
