- Precious Sleep
London, UK - Mark & Sabath's Home
We
arrived in London at 8:00 a.m., midnight Seattle time. We
didn't get much sleep on the plane, so we were groggy and
Jay was badly in need of mouthwash, but all-in-all we were
holding up well. After we failed to find a cash machine,
we broke down and used one of the currency coversion booths.
We didn't bother to do the math and find out how bad we
were screwed on that deal.
From
there, it was to "The Underground", London's subway system.
I (Lisa) decided that I am not coming back to Seattle until
we have a subway. I'm willing to wait it out, so lets see
what Locke can do.
We
arrived at our good friend Mark & Sabath's house without
getting lost. Again, very good travel karma. After visiting
for a few hours, we took a much needed nap and even more
needed shower. After our nap, we stayed up long enough to
eat a home cooked dinner and finish catching up and then
it was back to bed. Yes, rough life, isn't it? We'll see
how the jet lag is in the morning...
